Custom AMD Gaming PC Configurator, Ryzen 5 to 9, RTX or RX

AMD Custom Built Gaming PC: The Widest AMD Configurator on the Site

The AMD Custom Built Gaming PC is Ginger6’s broadest AMD configurator: Ryzen 5 through to Ryzen 9 on the CPU, Nvidia GeForce RTX through to AMD Radeon RX on the GPU, AM4 and AM5 boards both available in the dropdown. The seven-step custom-options form walks you through every component choice, prices the configuration live, and lands on the spec you actually want, not the spec a fixed-tier ladder gives you. We hand-build the configured machine in our Wolverhampton workshop, stress-test it for 24 hours under sustained load, and ship it on a 3-year warranty with lifetime UK phone support. Configuring custom AMD gaming PCs since 2001.

Step 1 of the configurator opens on the Ryzen 5 8400F (6 cores, 4.70 GHz) with the Gigabyte A620M H, 16GB DDR5 5200MHz (2x8GB) Dual Channel, and the Nvidia RTX 3050 6GB at £949.99 as the entry price. The dropdowns climb from there in every direction: CPU up through Ryzen 7 7700, Ryzen 9 7900, Ryzen 9 9950X3D; GPU up through the full Nvidia RTX 5060 / 5060 Ti / 5070 / 5070 Ti / 5080 ladder OR across into the AMD Radeon RX 7600 / RX 9060 XT / RX 9070 / RX 9070 XT lane; memory up to 128GB DDR5 dual-channel; storage up to 4TB Gen 4 NVMe. The configurator is GPU-brand-agnostic on purpose: this is the lane for the buyer who wants an AMD Ryzen CPU and is undecided between Nvidia and Radeon. Prefer to talk it through? Call Kevin on 01902 714533. He builds the machine, answers the phone, and gives a straight answer based on the games and the panel you have.

AMD Custom Built Gaming PC by Ginger6, configurable Ryzen platform build with Nvidia or AMD Radeon

The AMD Custom Built Gaming PC is the broad AMD lane of the Ginger6 custom-built range. The default Gigabyte A620M H is the entry AM5 chipset: 1GbE Realtek LAN, two DDR5 DIMM slots, an M.2 NVMe slot for the included 500GB Gen 4 SSD, and Wi-Fi via the included 433Mbps USB adapter. The motherboard dropdown at Step 1 covers AM5 (A620, B650, X670) and the configurator supports older AM4 Ryzen 5000-series CPUs if you specifically want that path. The AMD Custom Built Gaming PC sits inside our Custom PCs hub, the AMD Custom PCs sub-hub, and the wider Ginger6 gaming PC catalogue. Browse the AMD Ryzen tiers at Ryzen 5, Ryzen 7, and Ryzen 9, the Nvidia GeForce GPU range, or the AMD Radeon GPU range for context on which GPU lane to pick at Step 1.

Choosing between this configurator and the platform-specific siblings is straightforward. If you want the AM5-only / Ryzen 7000-led lane with the current-platform focus, the AMD Ryzen 7000 Custom Gaming PC (AR-CUST) is the right sibling. If you want the APU-led integrated-graphics configurator for home and office workloads, the AMD Performance Custom Built PC (AG3-CUST) covers that lane. If you would prefer a fixed-spec AMD gaming build we have already configured, the Fusion 600 X1, Fusion 800 X1, and Fusion 1200 X6 sit at the entry, mid, and flagship ends of the fixed-spec AMD range. For X3D cache-led gaming, the G6 Apex 1 with the Ryzen 5 7500X3D and the RTX 5060 is the gaming-optimised pick.

WHY A CUSTOM AMD BUILD

Three Reasons to Configure Rather Than Buy a Fixed Spec

The AMD Custom Built Gaming PC is the widest AMD configurator on the site because most AMD-buyer questions land between the standard tiers, not on them.

RTX or RX, You Pick the GPU Lane

The Graphics dropdown at Step 1 carries the full Nvidia GeForce RTX range and the full AMD Radeon RX range side-by-side. If you want DLSS 4 quality upscaling and CUDA-accelerated encode for streaming, the Nvidia lane fits. If you want raw rasterisation per pound on AMD’s current architecture, the Radeon lane fits. The configurator does not push you into a brand choice you did not ask for.

Ryzen 5 to Ryzen 9, AM4 or AM5

The Processor dropdown at Step 1 covers Ryzen 5 6-core through Ryzen 9 16-core silicon, on both Socket AM4 (Ryzen 5000-series, mature DDR4 platform) and Socket AM5 (Ryzen 7000 and 8000 series, DDR5, current platform). The motherboard dropdown updates to match the CPU socket you select. AM5 has the upgrade runway through 2027 and beyond; AM4 is the value pick on mature silicon.

24-Hour Test on the AMD Configuration You Ordered

The 24-hour stress test runs on the exact AMD configuration that ships. Thermal headroom on the Ryzen CPU and configured cooler, memory stability at the configured DDR5 (or DDR4) speed in dual-channel mode, NVMe storage under sustained read/write, and frame-pacing behaviour on the configured GPU (Nvidia or Radeon) at the resolution your spec is sized for. The configuration you bought is the configuration we test.

HOW TO CONFIGURE YOUR AMD PC

The Seven-Step Walk-Through

The Custom Options form on this product page is a seven-step build sheet. Every dropdown changes price and lead time live. The screenshots below walk through what each step contains and how to decide for an AMD Ryzen build with either Nvidia or Radeon at Step 1.

Step 1 Core Components of the AMD Custom Built Gaming PC configurator, showing Case, Processor, Motherboard, Memory, and Graphics dropdowns

Step 1: Core Components

What this step decides: the five components that anchor the build. The Case, the Processor (Ryzen 5 to Ryzen 9, AM4 or AM5), the Motherboard (auto-filtered to your CPU socket), the Memory, and the Graphics card (full Nvidia GeForce RTX range or full AMD Radeon RX range, side-by-side).

How to decide: match the CPU to the games and workload (Ryzen 5 for 1080p competitive, Ryzen 7 for 1080p Ultra AAA with streaming, Ryzen 9 for 4K or racing-sim multi-monitor). Match the GPU to the monitor: RTX 5060 / RX 9060 XT at 1080p Ultra, RTX 5070 / RX 9070 at 1440p, RTX 5080 / RX 9070 XT at 4K. Pick Nvidia if you want DLSS 4 quality upscaling and NVENC encoding for streaming; pick Radeon for stronger raster per pound and FSR 4. The motherboard updates to fit the CPU socket you chose (A620 / B650 / X670 on AM5, A520 / B550 on AM4). Memory defaults to 16GB DDR5 (2x8GB) Dual Channel on AM5 or 16GB DDR4 (2x8GB) Dual Channel on AM4.

Steps 2 (Storage) and 3 (Power and Cooling) of the AMD Custom Built Gaming PC configurator

Step 2: Storage & Step 3: Power and Cooling

What Step 2 decides: the M.2 NVMe boot drive (default 500GB Gen 4), up to four M.2 NVMe drives total, two hard drives, and the optical drive (default none).

What Step 3 decides: the Power Supply (default 500w 80+ Bronze), the PSU cable colour, the Processor Cooler (default stock AMD Wraith on the default Ryzen 5), the Case Fans, and the Lighting profile.

How to decide: size the PSU to the GPU draw with headroom for future upgrades (500w fits the default RTX 3050; 650w for RTX 5060 Ti, 750w for RTX 5070, 1000w+ for RTX 5080). AMD Wraith stock cooler is sufficient for Ryzen 5 default boost; step up to a 240mm or 360mm AIO if you stepped up to a Ryzen 7 or Ryzen 9, or if you plan extended creator workloads alongside gaming.

Steps 4 (Additional Cards), 5 (Software), and 6 (Peripherals) of the AMD Custom Built Gaming PC configurator

Step 4: Additional Cards · Step 5: Software · Step 6: Peripherals

What Step 4 decides: the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth option (default included 433Mbps USB Wi-Fi adapter, Wi-Fi only), plus any add-in PCI-E card for the second slot. Switch to a USB Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth combo, or step the motherboard up at Step 1 to a B650 board with onboard Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.3.

What Step 5 decides: Operating System (default Windows 11 Home 64-bit; Windows 11 Pro available), Office Software (default none; Microsoft Office 2024 options), and Internet Security (Norton 360 with Game Optimizer included free for 1 year).

What Step 6 decides: Monitor, Keyboard / Mouse / Headset bundles, individual peripherals. Skip if you already have a setup.

Step 7 Delivery and Services of the AMD Custom Built Gaming PC configurator, showing Warranty and Build Time dropdowns

Step 7: Delivery and Services

What this step decides: the warranty level (default 3 Year Bronze; Silver and Gold extend the parts cover and the return-to-base period) and the build time (default Standard 3-5 working days including the 24-hour stress test; Express options available if you need faster turnaround).

How to decide: the default 3 Year Bronze covers most buyers. Silver or Gold is worth considering for additional peace of mind in busy environments. Standard Build is the right pick unless you have a hard deadline.

When the configuration is right, the price at the top of the Custom Options form is the final price. Click Add to Cart to checkout, or call Kevin on 01902 714533 to talk through the AMD build first.

Open the Configurator
WHICH AMD CONFIGURATION FOR YOUR USE CASE

Four AMD Configurations for Four Buyer Profiles

If your situation matches one of these, the suggested configurator pick is the starting point. Adjust at any step to match your panel and your budget.

AMD on a budget
Ryzen 5 5600 + RX 7600 + 16GB on AM4

For the buyer who wants the AMD Ryzen platform on a strict budget. Step the CPU at Step 1 to the AM4 Ryzen 5 5600 (6 cores, 4.40 GHz) on the A520 or B550 board (the dropdown updates to match the socket), the GPU to the Radeon RX 7600 8GB or the RTX 3050 6GB, the memory to 16GB DDR4 dual-channel. AM4 lands the build at a structurally lower price than AM5 while still carrying enough thread count for 1080p gaming.

1080p high-refresh on AM5
Ryzen 5 8400F + RTX 5060 or RX 9060 XT

For 1080p competitive gaming on the current platform. Keep the default Ryzen 5 8400F at Step 1 (or step to the Ryzen 7 7700 for streaming headroom), step the GPU to the RTX 5060 8GB if you want DLSS 4 quality upscaling, or to the Radeon RX 9060 XT 8GB if you prefer the AMD GPU side. 16GB DDR5 (2x8GB) Dual Channel and the 500w 80+ Bronze PSU at Steps 1 and 3 fit this combination cleanly.

1440p AAA, GPU-lane choice
Ryzen 7 7700 + RTX 5070 or RX 9070 + 32GB

For 1440p Ultra on the modern AAA rotation. Step the CPU to the Ryzen 7 7700 (8 cores, 5.30 GHz), step the GPU at Step 1 to the RTX 5070 12GB or the Radeon RX 9070 (DLSS-leaning vs raster-leaning is the trade-off), step the memory to 32GB DDR5 (2x16GB) Dual Channel, step the PSU at Step 3 to the 750w Gold tier for headroom on a future GPU upgrade. The configured combination is tested on the exact GPU you picked.

Ryzen 9 flagship
Ryzen 9 7900X + RTX 5080 or RX 9070 XT + 64GB

For 4K gaming, racing simulators, or 1440p plus heavy streaming workloads. Step the CPU to the Ryzen 9 7900X (12 cores) or above, the GPU to the RTX 5080 16GB or the Radeon RX 9070 XT, the memory to 64GB DDR5 (2x32GB) Dual Channel, the board to an X670 P WIFI or X670 Aorus Elite AX for the lane count, the PSU to 1000w Gold or above at Step 3, and the cooling to a 360mm AIO. The Ryzen 9 lane is also the right pick for creator workloads alongside gaming.

CHOOSING BETWEEN THE THREE AMD CUSTOM CONFIGURATORS

Which AMD Configurator Fits Your Build?

Ginger6 runs three AMD custom configurators, each tuned to a different lane: current-platform gaming, broad gaming with GPU-brand choice, and APU-led home office. Pick the one that matches your starting point and configure from there. All three share the same hand-built Wolverhampton workshop, the same 24-hour stress test, the same 3-year warranty, and the same lifetime UK phone support.

Not certain which configurator fits? Call Kevin on 01902 714533. Tell him the games or office workload, the monitor (or that there is no gaming monitor), and the budget. He will point you at the right configurator for your starting point.

HOW YOUR CONFIGURED BUILD IS MADE

Built by Hand in Wolverhampton

Every configured AMD Custom Built Gaming PC goes through the same three-stage workshop process. The 24-hour stress test is the gate that holds dispatch.

01
AMD configuration confirmed against your games, panel, and use case

Before assembly begins, the configuration submitted via the seven-step form is reviewed against your spec brief. If you have spoken to Kevin on the phone, the build sheet reflects that conversation. Components are verified against current stock, the cooler mounting hardware is confirmed for the Ryzen CPU socket (AM4 or AM5 depending on your Step 1 choice), the GPU is checked for case clearance against the case you configured. The configuration you submitted is the configuration we build.

02
Hand-assembled around your configured case and GPU

The build is assembled inside the case you picked at Step 1. The configured cooler is seated on the Ryzen CPU, the configured case fans are wired and the airflow path checked, the configured GPU (Nvidia GeForce RTX or AMD Radeon RX, whichever you picked) is seated with the anti-sag bracket where the card calls for one. Cable management is routed for sustained airflow. BIOS, DDR memory channel mode at the configured speed, NVMe boot order, the on-board firmware update, and the included 433Mbps USB Wi-Fi adapter driver are confirmed before the 24-hour test begins.

03
24-hour test under sustained load on the configured spec

Every configured AMD build runs sustained CPU plus GPU load for a full day before it ships. Thermal behaviour on the configured cooler and case combination, memory stability at the configured speed in dual-channel mode, NVMe performance under sustained read/write, and frame-pacing on the configured GPU at the target resolution: all logged before despatch. The Ryzen CPU is monitored for thermal headroom across all cores; the GPU is held at sustained boost. Your build ships free to mainland UK addresses, fully insured and tracked.

24-HOUR STRESS TEST COVERS
  • Thermal behaviour on the configured Ryzen CPU and cooler combination
  • Stability of the configured GPU (Nvidia or Radeon) during extended use
  • Memory stability at the configured DDR speed in dual-channel mode
  • Storage performance on the configured M.2 NVMe drives
  • BIOS and AGESA firmware stability on the configured AMD board
  • Frame pacing in representative AAA at the configuration’s target resolution

Kevin took the time to talk through the AMD options on the phone before I ordered. The build arrived faster than expected, beautifully cabled, and runs every game I throw at it without any drama. The Ryzen spec he recommended was exactly right for my monitor and budget.

Configured a Ryzen 7 build with a Radeon GPU and the price was hundreds less than the big chains. The PC arrived in two days, tested and labelled, with the warranty paperwork in the box. Honest service, no upsell pressure. Could not recommend Ginger6 higher.

Hand-built AMD gaming PC, configured exactly to my spec, ran straight out the box for two years without an issue. When I had a question about a future upgrade Kevin answered the phone himself. The lifetime support is genuine, not a marketing claim.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions About the AMD Custom Configurator

Both are first-class on this configurator. Pick Nvidia GeForce RTX if you want DLSS 4 quality upscaling, DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation, and CUDA-accelerated NVENC encoding for streaming or recording. Pick AMD Radeon RX if you want stronger rasterisation per pound, FSR 4 upscaling, and a more open driver stack. The configurator price-updates live as you switch between brands at the GPU dropdown. If you are undecided, the cards at RX 9060 XT, RTX 5060 Ti, RX 9070, and RTX 5070 are the closest direct cross-brand matches at the same price band.

Yes, both. The Processor dropdown at Step 1 carries Socket AM4 Ryzen 5000-series CPUs (Ryzen 5 5600, Ryzen 7 5700X, Ryzen 9 5950X) and Socket AM5 Ryzen 7000 / 8000-series CPUs (Ryzen 5 8400F default, Ryzen 7 7700, Ryzen 9 7950X, Ryzen 9 9950X3D). The motherboard dropdown auto-filters to the boards that fit your CPU socket choice. AM5 is the current platform with the upgrade runway through 2027; AM4 is the value pick on mature silicon with DDR4 memory, structurally lower price.

For 1080p competitive (CS2, Valorant, Apex Legends, Fortnite), the Ryzen 5 8400F default at Step 1 is well-sized. For 1080p Ultra AAA with streaming alongside, step up to the Ryzen 7 7700 (8 cores, 5.30 GHz). For 1440p AAA, the Ryzen 7 7700 still fits. For 4K, heavy modding, or racing-sim with multi-monitor, step up to the Ryzen 9 7900 (12 cores). For cache-led competitive gaming where the CPU bottlenecks (MSFS, esports, simulator-adjacent strategy), the Ryzen 7 7800X3D and the Ryzen 9 9950X3D with 3D V-Cache are higher in the dropdown.

16GB DDR5 5200MHz (2x8GB) Dual Channel on AM5, or 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x8GB) Dual Channel on AM4, is the right entry capacity for modern AAA at 1080p. Step up to 32GB (2x16GB) Dual Channel for 1440p AAA with streaming alongside. Step up to 64GB (2x32GB) Dual Channel for racing-sim, video editing, or virtual machine workloads. Every kit ships as a dual-channel pair, never as a single stick, so the memory controller runs at full bandwidth on the configured Ryzen CPU from boot.

Call Kevin on 01902 714533. Tell him three things: the games you play most often, your monitor resolution and refresh rate, and your approximate budget. He will configure the AMD build to land on the right spec for your setup, talk through the Nvidia-vs-Radeon trade-off if you are undecided on the GPU lane, and either confirm the configuration on the phone or email you a quote. No charge for the conversation. No pressure to buy.

Yes, within reason. If the build has not yet started in the workshop, the configuration can be changed by calling Kevin on 01902 714533. If assembly has already begun, the change depends on what stage the build is at; some swaps (cooler, peripherals, OS) are cheap to make, others (case, motherboard, CPU) are not. The earlier the call, the easier the swap. Cancellation and refund policy is covered in the Ginger6 returns policy.

Two upgrade paths. At Step 4 of the configurator, choose a USB Wi-Fi adapter that includes Bluetooth in the dropdown (the default is the Wi-Fi-only 433Mbps adapter; the combo Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth options sit below it). Or step the motherboard up at Step 1 to a B650M D3HP AX, B650 Gaming X AX, X670 P WIFI, or X670 Aorus Elite AX board with onboard Wi-Fi 6 plus Bluetooth 5.3. Either path keeps the rest of the configured build identical.

Yes. 0% finance via PayPal Pay In 3 is available on configured orders above £500. The split is interest-free across three equal payments; eligibility is subject to PayPal’s checks at checkout. The 3-year warranty, the 24-hour stress test, the lifetime UK phone support, and the free mainland UK delivery all apply to finance orders the same way as paid-in-full orders.

I was very happy with the service, easy, fast, efficient streamline web site, sold your product to me. It was the ease of usage, and it was well designed, and the dropdown menus changed to make sure what you selected was compatible with each other item selected. Very happy with the product, and my son is even happier. A few wee things to still sort out, relating to the software, not too sure why I'm getting pop-ups about the software not working correctly at start up. But the product is stunning looking, and you can tell a lot of effort went into the service you provided. Thank You.
