SPEC OVERVIEW

What £2000 Gets You in 2026

The £2000 tier is where all the key components hit a sensible level. Nothing is underpowered relative to another part of the build.

CPU
The AMD Ryzen 7 X3D is the strongest gaming CPU in this tier. The extra 3D V-Cache delivers measurable frame rate gains in CPU-limited games compared to standard Ryzen 7. Browse Intel i7 PCs or AMD Ryzen 7 PCs.
GPU
Strong 1440p performance across all titles. Entry-level 4K capable in less demanding games. DLSS 4 support pushes frame rates in supported titles considerably higher. Browse RTX 5070 PCs.
RAM & Storage
2TB NVMe is enough for a full game library without managing storage. 32GB DDR5 handles gaming, streaming, and productivity simultaneously without memory pressure.
Target Resolution
Designed for 1440p as the primary resolution. Handles 4K at medium to high settings in optimised titles, and 4K with DLSS enabled in supported games.
GAME PERFORMANCE

VERIFIED CUSTOMER REVIEWS

“Ordered a system from these guys recently. Had a phone call from a member of the team who explained that I had ordered fans of a different colour to the rest of the case so he replaced them with ones of the same colour. The replacements were better than the ones I ordered but he did it for no extra charge. The system arrived really quickly, and I am very, very happy. I could not fault this company and will absolutely buy from them again. Fantastic service, fantastic company.”

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Honest Guidance on Whether £2000 Is the Right Budget

The right budget depends on your monitor, your game library, and how you use your PC. Here is a direct answer to help you decide.

This PC is right for you if...
You game at 1440p and want a machine that handles your full game library at high settings without compromise, including titles you have not bought yet. You use your PC for gaming alongside streaming, video editing, or other productivity tasks and need a build where all of those workloads coexist without memory or CPU pressure.
Step up to the tier above if...
Your monitor is 4K, or you run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 as a primary use at 4K settings. The £2500 tier with an RTX 5070 Ti adds 20 to 30% more GPU performance at 4K, which is where the gain is most meaningful. At 1440p the difference is smaller and harder to justify.
The tier below may be enough if...
You game at 1440p on a 144Hz monitor and your library is primarily competitive multiplayer titles where the RTX 5070 at £1800 handles everything above your monitor's refresh rate already. If 2TB storage and the stronger CPU at £2000 are not requirements for your use case, the £1800 tier is the better value.
HOW IT COMPARES

£2000 vs the Tiers Around It

Below — £1800
One Tier Down

At £1800 the GPU is the same RTX 5070 but storage is typically 1TB and the CPU is a step down. If storage and CPU headroom matter for your use case, the extra £200 at £2000 makes a tangible difference to the build balance.

Above — £2500
One Tier Up

At £2500 the GPU steps to an RTX 5070 Ti, which adds meaningful 4K performance headroom. If your monitor is 4K or your games include flight simulation at ultra settings, the £500 difference is worth considering seriously.

QUESTIONS

£2000 Gaming PC FAQ

If you game at 1440p and want headroom to spare, or you want a machine that handles your full game library without compromise, £2000 is typically the right answer. Call Kevin on 01902 714533 and he will give you a straight view based on your games and monitor.

At 1440p with high settings, yes, well. At 4K ultra without DLSS it will struggle. If flight simulation is your primary use at 4K, a £2500 or £3000 build with an RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5080 is more appropriate. Call Kevin before you decide.

Both are available. For gaming, the AMD Ryzen 7 X3D range currently leads in most game benchmarks at this price point. For productivity and streaming alongside gaming, Intel Core i7 competes closely. Call Kevin and he will advise based on your actual workload.

At 1440p, four to five years before a GPU upgrade makes a noticeable difference. At 4K, three to four years. The motherboard, case, and power supply at this tier support future GPU and CPU generations so the upgrade path is clean when the time comes.
