Gaming PCs Ready for
2026 and Beyond

The biggest PC releases of 2026 share a common hardware profile. Unreal Engine 5 is the engine of choice for The Witcher 4, Fable, Phantom Blade Zero, and The Blood of Dawnwalker. A build that handles today's demanding UE5 titles is a build that is ready for what is coming. Find the right tier below.

UPCOMING RELEASES

Six Anticipated PC Releases

Six titles with confirmed or expected 2026 and 2027 PC releases — all with hardware implications worth planning for now. Part of the wider gaming PCs by game section. Each page below covers estimated hardware thresholds and the Ginger6 builds best positioned for that title at launch.

WHY BUY AHEAD

A Build for Today Is a Build Ready for Tomorrow

Five of the six titles on this page are built on Unreal Engine 5, or are expected to be. The Witcher 4, Fable, Phantom Blade Zero, and The Blood of Dawnwalker all use UE5 with Nanite geometry and Lumen global illumination — the same engine combination that defines hardware requirements for Black Myth: Wukong and Cyberpunk 2077 at maximum settings today. A build sized for the most demanding current UE5 titles at your target resolution is a build positioned for the next generation of releases at the same resolution. You are not buying ahead of the hardware curve — you are buying into it at the right moment.

GTA VI and Subnautica 2 are exceptions to the UE5 framing — GTA VI uses Rockstar's proprietary RAGE engine and Subnautica 2 uses Unreal Engine 5 in a survival context where GPU demands are more modest than an open world action RPG. Both are covered on their individual pages in the open world and RPG and action and adventure sections respectively. For most buyers, the right question is which games from this list they plan to play — and at which resolution. Call Kevin and he will confirm the right build tier for your specific launch-day library.

Bought a new high-spec home PC for work and gaming. Staff were extremely knowledgeable and provided great support both during the sale and after it arrived. The delivery time was very quick. Would absolutely recommend.

Bought a gaming PC from Ginger6 and it's perfect for gaming. They were very responsive and I was able to choose my parts and they built it for me. I found the idea of building it very daunting as I know precious little about computers. Would definitely recommend Ginger6.

QUESTIONS

Common Questions About Buying Ahead of Upcoming Releases

For most of the titles on this page, no — the Unreal Engine 5 basis gives reliable information about the hardware profile before official requirements are published. Five of the six games here use UE5, and UE5's hardware demands are well understood from existing releases. A build sized for Black Myth: Wukong or Cyberpunk 2077 at your target resolution is well-positioned for the next generation of UE5 open world titles at the same resolution. The exception is GTA VI, which uses Rockstar's proprietary RAGE engine — here, it is worth waiting for the PC release date and system requirements before committing to a specific tier. Call Kevin, tell him which titles you are planning for, and he will give a clear recommendation based on the current hardware profile.

The Witcher 4 is expected to set the hardware ceiling among the six titles here. CD Projekt Red's history with Cyberpunk 2077 and the confirmed UE5 basis suggest a title that will push high-end GPUs hard at maximum settings at 4K. Based on comparable UE5 open world titles, a build sized for The Witcher 4 at 4K will cover all other titles on this list at the same or better settings tier. GTA VI is unknown — Rockstar's RAGE engine has historically been well-optimised for PC, but hardware requirements at maximum settings in a city the scale of Vice City are likely to be significant. If you are planning for both The Witcher 4 and GTA VI at 4K, tell Kevin and he will help you size the build accordingly.

Unreal Engine 5 uses two rendering systems — Nanite and Lumen — that place heavy and continuous demands on the GPU. Nanite handles geometry at adaptive detail levels, streaming high-resolution geometry data in real time. Lumen calculates dynamic global illumination, meaning the game's lighting reacts to every light source in real time rather than using pre-baked approximations. Together they produce a visual quality level that rasterisation-only engines cannot match, but they require a GPU with sufficient compute power and VRAM to sustain that output at your target frame rate. At 1440p, a mid-range GPU with DLSS quality mode handles current UE5 titles well. At 4K, a high-end GPU with 16GB VRAM is the practical choice for maximum settings without upscaling. This hardware profile applies across all five UE5 titles on this page.

At the mid-range tier and above, yes — with the expectation that settings may need to be adjusted from maximum when The Witcher 4 releases. GPU generations move more slowly than many buyers expect. An RTX 5070 Ti purchased today will still be a capable GPU in 2027 — it is Blackwell architecture, NVIDIA's current generation. Whether it covers The Witcher 4 at 4K ultra maximum settings is an open question until CD Projekt Red publishes system requirements. At 4K with DLSS quality mode, the RTX 5070 Ti tier is well-positioned. For buyers who want maximum 4K settings in The Witcher 4 with certainty, the RTX 5080 is the safer choice. Call Kevin and tell him your resolution target and which titles you are planning for — he will confirm the right tier.

Subnautica 2 enters Early Access in May 2026 — it is not a finished game at that point. Early Access means the game is actively in development and will receive major content updates during the Early Access period, which Unknown Worlds estimates at two to three years. Players who buy during Early Access are buying into an unfinished game with the intention of playing alongside its development. The full 1.0 release is expected sometime in 2028 or 2029. The development situation has also been complicated by an ongoing dispute between publisher Krafton and the studio's founders. On hardware: Subnautica 2 is expected to be less demanding than the UE5 open world action RPGs on this list — a mid-range build is well-positioned for Early Access. Hardware requirements will be updated when confirmed specifications are published.

Every Ginger6 gaming PC carries a 3-year warranty covering parts and labour from the day it arrives — not from the day a game releases. If you buy now for a title releasing in late 2026 or 2027, the warranty starts on delivery. Kevin is reachable by phone and email throughout that period. If the official system requirements for a title you are planning for change the hardware picture, Kevin will discuss your configuration options. Every machine goes through a 24-hour stress test before dispatch covering sustained load, thermal stability, and system reliability. A machine delivered today is fully tested and ready from the moment it arrives — not just ready for a game that releases in six months.
