SPEC OVERVIEW

What £1200 Gets You in 2026

The RTX 5060 Ti adds meaningful headroom above the RTX 5060, particularly at 1080p ultra and early 1440p gaming.

Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5
A strong CPU for the RTX 5060 Ti that does not limit performance at 1080p or 1440p. Handles gaming alongside streaming without a noticeable frame rate penalty. Browse Intel i5 PCs or AMD Ryzen 5 PCs.
NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti
Delivers 80 to 120fps at 1080p ultra settings and 60 to 80fps at 1440p high in most titles. Handles ray tracing at 1080p with DLSS 4 enabled. Browse RTX 5060 Ti PCs.
16GB DDR5 RAM & 1TB NVMe
16GB DDR5 handles all current games without memory pressure. Fast NVMe keeps load times short and Windows quick day to day. A 2TB upgrade is worth discussing with Kevin if your library is large.
1080p Ultra, 1440p High Settings
Built for 1080p at ultra settings and a 144Hz monitor. Handles 1440p at high settings in all current titles, making it viable for both a 1080p and 1440p display without a GPU upgrade.

Questions Worth Asking Before You Buy

Will It Become Outdated Quickly?

At 1080p, three to four years before you notice the ceiling. Ginger6 builds every PC with standard cases and power supplies that support the next GPU generation. When the time comes, a GPU swap extends your machine without replacing everything. Call Kevin when you are ready and he will advise on the most cost-effective path.

Is It Better Than a Console?

In most multiplatform games at 1080p, yes for frame rate. More importantly, PC gives you a larger game library, many titles at lower cost through sales, and full control over graphical settings. The trade-off is more initial setup than plugging in a console. Kevin is available after delivery if you need help with anything.

VERIFIED CUSTOMER REVIEWS

“I recently had a custom gaming PC built and delivered by Ginger6, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, the experience was outstanding. They took the time to understand my specifications and even made some great recommendations that really enhanced the final build. The cable management is immaculate, and they were so meticulous that even the screw heads were kept in perfect condition! The PC runs like a dream, and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend Ginger6 for anyone looking for a top-tier custom PC build!”

Jason Flanagan — Verified Reviews.io Review

“Outstanding company. 3 years ago I bought from them, service and making sure I knew what was going on throughout the build was spot on. Nearly three years later with no issues I called for advice about an upgrade. They talked me through the options and suggested that perhaps I didn't need to upgrade the graphics card yet and suggested some free and cheaper ways to improve performance. Just great support.”

John Rees — Verified Reviews.io Review

“This is the 2nd time I have bought a gaming pc from Ginger 6. Both machines have been excellent quality and value for money, and I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy pcs and parts. Their customer service is also excellent. I had many questions about which parts are compatible with which, and all was patiently explained to me through a telephone call. Once bought, delivery was prompt and hassle free.”

IS THIS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Honest Guidance on Whether £1200 Is the Right Budget

The £1200 tier bridges entry and enthusiast gaming. It is the right choice in specific situations, and the wrong one in others. Here is how to tell the difference.

This PC is right for you if...
You want 1080p ultra settings in all current games without any DLSS dependency. You own or plan to buy a 1440p monitor and want a GPU that handles it at high settings across your full game library. You play a mix of competitive multiplayer and graphically demanding story games and want both covered well without spending £1500 or more.
Step up to £1500 if...
You want 1440p as a primary resolution across all titles without the frame rate ceiling that the RTX 5060 Ti hits in the most demanding games. The £1500 tier brings a stronger CPU and more storage alongside the RTX 5060 Ti, making it a more complete build for longer-term 1440p use. If you stream while gaming, the extra CPU headroom at £1500 also makes a difference.
The £1000 tier may be enough if...
You game exclusively at 1080p and have no plans to upgrade to a 1440p monitor in the near term. The RTX 5060 at £1000 handles 1080p high settings in all current titles. If 1080p high is your ceiling and you are not in the market for a 1440p display, the extra £200 for the RTX 5060 Ti buys headroom you may not regularly use.
HOW IT COMPARES

£1200 vs the Tiers Around It

Below — £1000
RTX 5060 — Strong 1080p, Limited 1440p

At £1000 the RTX 5060 handles 1080p high settings across all titles. If 1080p is your permanent resolution, the £1000 tier is the better value. The step to £1200 makes sense when 1080p ultra settings or genuine 1440p gaming is the target from day one.

Above — £1500
Stronger CPU, More Storage, Same GPU

At £1500 the GPU stays at RTX 5060 Ti but the CPU steps up and storage increases. The real gain is headroom for streaming, productivity, and a longer useful life at 1440p. If 1440p is your primary resolution and you want the more complete package, the £1500 tier is the right choice.

QUESTIONS

£1200 Gaming PC FAQ

At 1440p high settings in most current titles, yes. The RTX 5060 Ti delivers 60 to 80fps at 1440p high settings in demanding games and 100fps or above in competitive titles. At 1440p ultra settings in the most demanding games, frame rates drop into the 50 to 60fps range. For 1440p without that ceiling, the RTX 5070 at £1800 is the better match.

The RTX 5060 Ti has more VRAM, higher memory bandwidth, and more CUDA cores than the RTX 5060. At 1080p the difference is 15 to 20% in demanding games. At 1440p the gap widens to 20 to 30%. The RTX 5060 Ti handles ray tracing more comfortably at 1080p and is viable at 1440p in a way the RTX 5060 is not without DLSS.

At 1080p, three to four years before a GPU upgrade becomes worthwhile. At 1440p, two to three years before you start hitting the frame rate ceiling in demanding new releases.
