THE NVIDIA GEFORCE RANGE

Which Nvidia GeForce GPU Is Right for You?

Eight GPU tiers covering every gaming resolution. The right card depends on what resolution you play at, how high a frame rate you want, and whether you stream or record alongside gaming. All RTX 5000-series builds include DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation.

Entry and Mid-Range

ENTRY TIER — 1080P
RTX 3050

The RTX 3050 delivers confident 1080p gaming at high settings across a wide range of titles. 6GB of GDDR6 memory handles the demands of today’s games at 1080p. Built on Nvidia’s Ampere architecture with DLSS support, it is the right card for first-time PC buyers, esports players, and anyone upgrading from integrated graphics on a sensible budget.

ENTRY TIER — 1080P / 1440P
RTX 5050

The RTX 5050 brings Blackwell architecture to the entry tier. 8GB of GDDR7 memory with DLSS 4 support gives it a meaningful upgrade over the previous generation at 1080p and enough headroom for light 1440p gaming. A strong choice for buyers stepping up from console or the RTX 3050 class who want current-generation features without the flagship price.

MID TIER — 1080P / 1440P
RTX 5060

The RTX 5060 delivers high-refresh 1080p and solid 1440p gaming on Blackwell architecture. 8GB of GDDR7 with DLSS 4 adds frame rate headroom that makes a real difference at 1440p. The right card for competitive players who want high frame rates at 1080p or buyers moving into 1440p gaming without overspending on VRAM they do not yet need.

MID TIER — 1440P
RTX 5060 Ti

The RTX 5060 Ti is built for serious 1440p gaming. 16GB of GDDR7 removes the VRAM ceiling that limits the standard 5060 in demanding open-world titles. DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation boosts frame rates significantly at 1440p where supported. The right card for streamers who need VRAM headroom, or buyers upgrading from the RTX 3070 and 4060 Ti class.

Upper-Mid to Flagship

PERFORMANCE TIER — 1440P / 4K
RTX 5070

The RTX 5070 is the strongest value card in the upper-mid tier. It delivers high frame rates at 1440p with ray tracing enabled and has genuine headroom for entry-level 4K gaming. 12GB of GDDR7 with DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation makes a noticeable difference at both resolutions. The right card for content creators who also game and buyers targeting high-refresh 1440p with ray tracing on.

HIGH-END TIER — 1440P AND 4K
RTX 5070 Ti

The RTX 5070 Ti adds meaningful performance over the 5070, delivering 4K gaming at 60fps and above in a growing number of titles and high-refresh 1440p with full ray tracing. 16GB of GDDR7 with DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation. The right choice for sim racing and flight sim players at 4K or for buyers who want to avoid a GPU upgrade for as long as possible.

HIGH-END TIER — 4K
RTX 5080

The RTX 5080 is built for 4K gaming at high refresh rates. 16GB of GDDR7 with DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation handles demanding titles at 4K without compromise. Full ray tracing at native 4K in supported games. The right card for buyers with a 4K 144Hz monitor, VR enthusiasts, and creators running GPU-accelerated workflows alongside gaming.

FLAGSHIP TIER — 4K AND BEYOND
RTX 5090

The RTX 5090 is the most capable gaming GPU available. 32GB of GDDR7 with DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation makes 4K ultra settings accessible in every current title. Full ray tracing at native 4K. Built for no-compromise 4K gaming, flight simulation at maximum fidelity, professional content creation, and VR at the highest quality settings available.

TRUST AND REPUTATION

Why 93% of Ginger6 Customers Leave Five-Star Reviews

More than 90% of Ginger6 customers leave five-star reviews on Trustpilot, compared to more than 75% for PCSpecialist. That gap does not come from marketing. It comes from how the two companies work. PCSpecialist processes thousands of orders through separate sales, build, and support teams. When something goes wrong, the person you call has never seen your PC. Ginger6 puts one person in front of you for the entire journey.

When you call Ginger6, you speak to the person who will build your PC. Not a salesperson reading from a catalogue. Not a support operator following a script. Kevin and the team handle every build personally and are reachable on the same phone number after your machine arrives. That is not a tagline. It is how the workshop runs.

We will recommend spending less if you do not need it. If a lower GPU tier handles your games at your monitor resolution, we will say so. If you have specified more than your workload needs, we will flag it before you pay for something you will not use. Check our Trustpilot reviews for phrases like “talked me out of” and “recommended cheaper.” Those come up more often than you would expect from a company that sells PCs for a living.

We stock and test components before recommending them. When a new generation of Nvidia GeForce GPUs arrives, we run real-world benchmarks on our bench before updating our builds. From the RTX 3050 at entry 1080p through to the RTX 5090 at no-compromise 4K, every tier has been tested in our Wolverhampton workshop before it goes into a build. We recommend what we have tested and trust.

Ginger6 has been building custom PCs from the same Wolverhampton workshop since 2001. Same phone number. Same approach. If you want to compare how the RTX 5070 and RTX 5070 Ti differ for 4K gaming, or whether the RTX 5060 Ti is the right 1440p card for your monitor, Kevin will tell you before you spend anything. Customers who bought from us twenty years ago still call when they need a new build. That kind of repeat business does not happen by accident.

OUR PROCESS

How Ginger6 Builds, Tests, and Ships Your GeForce PC

Every Ginger6 Nvidia GeForce gaming PC is built to order in our Wolverhampton workshop, stress-tested for 24 hours under sustained GPU and CPU load, and shipped via tracked courier within 5 to 7 working days. Ready-built PCs from our pre-configured range ship within 1 to 2 working days.

01
You Tell Us What You Need

Call Kevin on 01902 714533, email [email protected], or browse the builds below. We will ask what games you play, what resolution your monitor runs, whether you stream or record, and what your budget looks like. No jargon. No upselling. Just the information needed to recommend a GPU tier that makes sense for you.

02
We Recommend the Right GPU and Spec

Based on what you tell us, we will suggest a GPU tier and full specification that fits your use case and budget. If you are overspending for what you need at your resolution, we will say so. If moving up a tier would make a noticeable difference to frame rates or DLSS quality, we will explain why it is worth considering. No obligation to take the advice.

03
Your PC Is Built by Hand

Your gaming PC is assembled on our bench in Wolverhampton. Every component is installed with proper thermal paste application, secure mounting, and clean cable management. Cables are routed to support better airflow inside the case, reduce dust build-up around components, and make future maintenance straightforward. Cable management is not cosmetic. We use quality power supplies with headroom for future GPU upgrades.

04
24 Hours of Stress Testing

Every system runs for a full day under sustained CPU and GPU load before it ships. This is not a quick boot-up check. It catches instability, thermal throttling, and marginal components that pass a shorter test but fail under extended use. If a part is going to fail in its first month, it almost always fails here instead. We replace it, retest, and you never know it happened.

05
Packed and Shipped

Once testing passes, we run final checks on Windows, drivers, and BIOS configuration. BIOS settings, memory profiles, and firmware stability are confirmed before dispatch to prevent configuration conflicts and startup issues. Your PC is packed with internal bracing to prevent GPU sag during transit. Free delivery across the UK mainland with tracking details sent on dispatch.

06
Ongoing Support from the Person Who Built It

Your relationship with Ginger6 does not end at delivery. Every build includes a 3-year warranty covering parts and postage for the first year and labour for three years. Lifetime technical support is included at no extra cost for as long as you own the machine. The same phone number reaches the person who built your PC.

What the 24-hour test covers
  • Thermal behaviour under sustained GPU and CPU load
  • Processor and graphics card stability during extended use
  • Memory responsiveness and system stability
  • Storage performance and consistency
  • BIOS and firmware stability
  • System stability under extended use

FAQ

Common Questions About Nvidia GeForce Gaming PCs

DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is Nvidia’s AI-powered upscaling technology. It renders games at a lower internal resolution, then uses dedicated Tensor cores on RTX GPUs to reconstruct a higher-quality image at your target resolution. The result is significantly higher frame rates with image quality that is close to native rendering in most titles. DLSS is exclusive to Nvidia RTX GPUs and is supported in hundreds of games. RTX 5000-series builds support DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation for further frame rate uplift.

DLSS 4 introduces Multi Frame Generation, which uses AI to generate multiple additional frames per rendered frame rather than just one. This gives a substantially larger frame rate uplift at 1440p and 4K compared to DLSS 3 and earlier versions. DLSS 4 is a Blackwell-architecture feature, available on RTX 5000-series GPUs only. The RTX 3050 in our range is built on Ampere architecture and supports DLSS but not DLSS 4 or Multi Frame Generation. If DLSS 4 is a priority, any RTX 5000-series tier is the right choice.

The RTX 5060 Ti is the recommended starting point for serious 1440p gaming. Its 16GB of GDDR7 handles demanding titles without VRAM pressure and DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation adds strong frame rate headroom. The RTX 5070 is worth considering if you want high-refresh 1440p with ray tracing on or plan to move to 4K in future. The RTX 5060 works well for 1440p at medium-to-high settings if budget is a consideration.

The RTX 5080 is the recommended card for 4K gaming at high refresh rates. It handles demanding titles at 4K maximum settings with DLSS 4 and delivers full ray tracing at native 4K in supported games. The RTX 5070 Ti is a solid option for buyers targeting 4K at 60fps and above without the flagship price. The RTX 5090 is for no-compromise 4K: maximum settings in every title, flight simulation at 4K ultra, and professional content creation alongside gaming.

The RTX 3050 is an Ampere-generation card suited to buyers who prioritise total build cost and play at 1080p. It supports DLSS and handles current titles at 1080p high settings. The RTX 5050 is a Blackwell-generation card with 8GB of GDDR7 and DLSS 4 support. If budget allows, the RTX 5050 is the better long-term choice: current architecture, better memory bandwidth, and DLSS 4 access. The RTX 3050 remains a strong value option for buyers with a firm budget ceiling. You can also browse our custom gaming PCs for the full range of builds at every price point.

Yes. Real-time ray tracing is computationally demanding and reduces frame rates compared to rasterisation-only rendering. The impact varies by game and ray tracing quality setting. DLSS offsets much of this performance cost: at 1440p with DLSS enabled, the RTX 5070 and above deliver ray-traced games at playable frame rates in most titles. For the RTX 3050 and RTX 5050, ray tracing is supported but its impact is more significant, so enabling it at 1080p requires lowering other settings to maintain smooth frame rates.

CPU pairing depends on the GPU tier and your use case. Entry and mid-range builds are typically paired with Intel Core i5 or AMD Ryzen 5 processors. Upper-mid and high-end builds use Intel Core i7 or AMD Ryzen 7. Flagship tier builds are paired with Intel Core i9 or AMD Ryzen 9. If you stream, record, or run GPU-accelerated creative applications alongside gaming, a higher CPU tier may be worth considering. Call Kevin and he will recommend the right pairing for your workload.

Yes. Ginger6 builds every PC with future upgrades in mind. We use cases with good expansion room and power supplies with headroom above current draw to support GPU upgrades. When you are considering an upgrade, call Kevin and he will confirm whether your current CPU, motherboard, and PSU are compatible with the GPU you are looking at, and whether the upgrade makes sense at that point.
